Free admission. Normally, there would be artists working on new tapestries, but we visited on a day during a French holiday, so they were not there to see. Very handicap accessible.
Small but wonderful gallery of tapestries from the Gobelin museum. Extraordinary colours and detail can be found in old and more recently woven works. Well worth a visit and deserves to be better known.

Rate average considering a 4 for the palace and a 2 for the item. But of course if you want to visit you know that you will see only very well and colourful tapestry.
I stumbled upon this gallery. They had a wonderful exhibit on famous painters' works converted into tapestry. I especially loved the contemporary section. The architecture of the space is great, with beautiful light and shadows on one tapestry depicting stained glass. Highly recommend!
Once royal manufacture outside of Paris is today still in function. The old artists workshops became gallery holding monumental expos under it's hight. Great for world heritage day, to peek everywhere. Amazing site.
